What to farm
You still take the Cogni HP. Varian evasion and constitution, plus Natura stamina and crit resist, are the boards that match a shield. Defense Bonus on the insight board is the line tanks keep when they start locking.
Every field pet unlocks at 5 souls and reaches insight 3 at 105. New unlocks also grant 500 Genus Insight EXP, so a wide collection beats camping one monster.
